Britney Spears feeling ‘rebellious’ amid ‘a lot of change’ in her life

Britney Spears’ life could be imitating art.

The “Toxic” singer, 39, shared that she is feeling “bright,” “bold” and “rebellious” amid her conservatorship battle.

“As you guys know there’s a lot of change going on in my life,” she captioned an Instagram video Tuesday of herself painting an abstract piece at home.

Spears explained that while she felt “overwhelmed” at first, going to an art supply store to get paper and paints helped her express her feelings.

“I wanted to see color and this is me messing around !!!” she wrote. “Ok so I’m not a professional painter 👩🏼‍🎨 but I certainly felt like I was !!!”

She concluded, “This is an expression of how I’m feeling at the moment … rebellious… colorful…bright…bold …spontaneous…magical…so obviously showing my true colors 😜🌈🤓 !!!!”

The “Gimme More” songstress’ post came after her mother, Lynne Spears, claimed in court documents obtained by Page Six that Britney has a “fear and hatred” toward her estranged father, Jamie Spears.

Jamie, 69, has been acting as one of Britney’s conservators since the arrangement’s inception in February 2008.

In June, the Grammy winner accused her dad in court of forcing her to perform in 2018 and sending her to a mental health facility against her will in 2019. More recently, she asked a Los Angeles judge to charge Jamie with “conservatorship abuse.”

Britney’s new attorney, Mathew Rosengart, is actively fighting to have Jamie removed from the case. The pop star has stated that she then wants the conservatorship to end altogether.
