Jamie Lynn Spears breaks her silence on Britney Spears’ testimony

Jamie Lynn Spears spoke out Monday following older sister Britney Spears’ bombshell testimony over her conservatorship.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Jamie Lynn, 30, was emotional at times as she explained how “proud” she is of Britney “for using her voice,” noting that she finally decided to speak out after the pop princess, 39, did.

“The only reason I haven’t [spoken] before is because I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly, that it wasn’t my place and it wasn’t the right thing to do,” the actress began. “But now that she’s very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel like I need to say.”

Jamie Lynn, the youngest daughter of Lynne and Jamie Spears, continued, “I think it’s extremely clear since the day I was born that I’ve only loved, adored and supported my sister. I mean, this is my freaking big sister, before any of this bulls–t.

“I don’t care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have a zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose either way,” Jamie Lynn said.

“This situation does not affect me either way because I am only her sister, who is only concerned about her happiness,” she added.

On Wednesday, Britney broke her silence about the conservatorship that has allowed dad Jamie, as well as a team of other conservators, to control her personal life and assets, namely her estimated $60 million fortune, since it began in 2008.

During the virtual status hearing, Britney alleged of Jamie, 68, “He loved the control [he had] to hurt his own daughter — 100,000 percent.”

Britney also stated she wants to marry and have a baby with boyfriend Sam Asghari but the conservatorship will not allow it.

“I have an [IUD] in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby, and my conservators won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out,” she claimed. “I feel ganged up on. I feel bullied and I feel left out and alone.”

Jamie Lynn, who is a mother to daughters Maddie, 13, and Ivey, 3, said Monday that she made a “very conscious” choice to participate in Britney’s life as her sister and as an aunt to the singer’s sons, Sean Preston, 15, and Jayden James, 14, whom Britney shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

“Maybe I didn’t support her the way the public would like me to with a [#FreeBritney] hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you that I’ve supported my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I’ll support her long after,” Jamie Lynn said.

“I’ve worked since I was 9 years old. I paid my own freaking bills since I was 10 years old. Not that I owe the public anything because my sister knows I love and support her. That’s the only person I owe anything to,” she continued.

Jamie Lynn added Monday that she is her “own person” and does not represent her entire family, who Britney said on Wednesday she wants to sue.

“I am speaking for myself,” said the former Nickelodeon star, who had previously come under fire on social media for not publicly coming to Britney’s aid. “I’m so proud of her for using her voice. I am so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her to do many years ago — not on a big, public platform, but just in a personal conversation between two sisters. So I’m very proud that she’s taken that step.

“If ending the conservatorship and flying to Mars or whatever hell else she wants to do to be happy, I support that 100 percent because I support my sister. I love my sister, always have, always will, as long as she’s happy. So, let’s keep praying, that’s all,” Jamie Lynn concluded.

Since Wednesday’s testimony, a bevy of stars have spoken out in support of Britney, including Jamie Lynn’s former “Zoey 101” co-stars.

On Friday, Jamie Lynn’s husband, Jamie Watson, told The Post of Britney, “I can assure you her family loves her and wants the best for her.

“I wouldn’t be around people who weren’t. Who wouldn’t want to be in support of Britney?” he added.

Since the hearing, Britney and Asghari, 27, have jetted off to Hawaii.
