Sometimes you just “Need to Know” you’ve got your candy fix at hand.
Doja Cat stunned on the 2022 Grammys red carpet Sunday, April 3 in a sheer Atelier Versace dress, along with a stand-out (and very unusual) accessory: a glass handbag by Coperni straight from the runway, filled solely with what appears to be Werther’s Originals candies.
The “Say So” singer, 26, appeared like a mermaid in her custom mint green gown featuring a sheer overlay covered in Swarovski crystals layered over a crystal-trimmed corset bodysuit.
And though her hand-blown accessory certainly made a statement, the “Kiss Me More” singer doubled up on unusual accessories, adding a crystal-covered JBL speaker dangling from the handle of her bag for the event, hosted by Trevor Noah.
Plus, not all of her head-to-toe sparkles were Swarovski; Doja showed up wearing more than $1 million in diamonds, including a statement necklace, dangling earrings and bracelet by Samer Halimeh, with her necklace alone worth a whopping $561,000.
Her wrists were equally blinged out with $90,000 in diamond bracelets by 64 Facets and Hueb’s “Luminous” White Diamond Ring ($4,300).
Doja Cat is nominated for eight Grammys, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Kiss Me More.”
Her look is quite a change from the feather-filled one she wore to the 2021 Grammys red carpet or the wild outfits she wore hosting the 2021 VMAs (including chicken feet boots).
It remains to be seen if Doja Cat cleans up big at tonight’s awards — and if she shares her candy stash with her famous seat mates.
