Britney Spears posts video addressing fans ‘concerned with my life’

Britney Spears said she’s “flattered” by fans who are so “concerned” with her life.

The “Toxic” singer, 39, took to Instagram Monday to post never-before-seen takes from her secret “Just a Touch of Rose” project filmed last year, telling her followers that she was thrilled to finally share a sneak peek.

“I have over 10 minutes of video for the Rose project and trust me that’s A LOT 🌹🌹🌹!!!!” she captioned the video, which showed her staring into the camera as “He Loves Me” by Jill Scott played.

“Happy to share especially with a world that is empathetic and concerned with my life … what can I say I’m FLATTERED 💁🏼‍♀️ !!! Here’s to another beautiful summer of popsicles and sunbathing ☀️☀️☀️😜😜😜 !!!”

Spears didn’t further explain “Just a Touch of Rose,” but she previously called it a “personal photo project.”

In recent months, the Grammy winner’s fans have been vocal supporters of the #FreeBritney movement, which aims to shine a light on alleged injustices in the conservatorship that she has been under since 2008. Spears’ fan base has also questioned whether she runs her social media, prompting her camp to maintain that she does.

Her rep told Page Six earlier this month that Spears said, “I write my own posts, I don’t know why he is saying that,” after her former makeup artist Billy Brasfield came forward and claimed she has no control over her social media.

Cassie Petrey — who runs Spears’ accounts via the company CrowdSurf — has also spoken out about the rumors, writing on Instagram in February, “Britney creates her own posts and writes her own captions for Instagram.”

The social media manager further insisted, “She finds the Google images, Pinterest images, quotes, memes and everything else herself. Nobody is suggesting any of that stuff to her.”

Petrey went on to deny that Spears was “‘asking for help’ or leaving secret messages in her social media.” She explained, “She is literally just living her life and trying to have fun on Instagram. My work on Britney’s social media does not involve her conservatorship in any way. That’s a court and lawyer thing … These are facts.”
