‘Personally worn’ pair of Elvis Presley’s pants up for auction

Just because something’s historic, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s interesting — as proven by an auctioneer trying to drum up interest in what must surely be the world’s most boring piece of rock memorabilia.

Lelands is offering the chance to buy Elvis Presley’s “personally owned pants.” The starkly unremarkable slacks are currently going for about $300 on the site.

Amazingly, even the King’s father acknowledged their relative banality when donating them to the Salvation Army, according to the auction house. Vernon Presley left them with a note saying, “Not exactly Blue Suede Shoes, but a classic item nonetheless.”
