Woke Prince Harry calls ‘Megxit’ a ‘misogynistic term’

Exiled royal Prince Harry is now trying to cancel “Megxit” — insisting it’s a “misogynistic term.”

The now-woke prince — who famously once dressed as a Nazi — ripped the widely used comparison to Brexit during a panel Tuesday called “The Internet Lie Machine” organized by Wired.

“Maybe people know this and maybe they don’t, but the term ‘Megxit’ was or is a misogynistic term,” the 37-year-old California resident said.

“It was created by a troll, amplified by royal correspondents, and it grew and grew and grew into mainstream media.

“But it began with a troll,” Harry said, without elaborating.

“Megxit” became a well-used play on words within hours of Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, announcing that they were leaving life as senior royals — comparing that exit to Brexit, the UK’s departure from the EU.

But Harry suggested that it was created earlier, part of the online hate and misinformation that he called a “global humanitarian crisis.”

“The internet has been defined by hate, division and lies, and that can’t be right,” he said.

His attack on the widely used term bemused many online, with one commenter insisting, “Harry hasn’t got a clue what he’s talking about.”

“Megxit is a helpful and snappy term used to describe a specific situation,” one Twitter user insisted.

Others noted that even if “Megxit” is a slur, “it implies that Megan is the more powerful one of the couple.”

How can that be misogynistic?” the commentator said, with others suggesting that someone should send the prince “a dictionary, thesaurus and a set of encyclopedias.”

But Harry told the panel that he will continue to condemn the UK press as well as online trolls because he “lost my mother to this self-manufactured rabidness.”

“And obviously I’m determined not to lose the mother to my children to the same thing,” he said of Markle, who claimed that life as a UK royal left her suicidal.

“I’m not on social media — we’re not on social media — and until things change, that will remain the same,” he said of online hate.
