‘Bachelorette’ Clare Crawley has breast implants removed

Clare Crawley had her breast implants successfully removed after telling fans this summer that she’d decided to undergo the surgery because of related health issues.

The former “Bachelorette” posted Saturday that she was recovering and grateful to be able to “heal from BII (Breast Implant Illness).”

“Surgery is officially done + I am on the road to healing!” the reality star captioned a photo of herself dressed in a surgical gown.

The 40-year-old later shared in an Instagram Story video that she had not taken any pain medication following the surgery and felt “amazing.” In the video, she showed an elastic bandage wrapped around her chest as well as her surgical drains.

She also told fans that her friends and family helped “give me a boost when my brain has slipped into moments of doubt” surrounding the surgery, and wanted to share a message that, “our body shape does not define us or make us any less lovable or worthy. We are perfectly made just the way we are!”

Crawley revealed in early July she would be having her implants removed, saying that she’d been experiencing symptoms related to the implants, including rashes all over her body, swollen glands, a high white blood cell count and a large packet of fluid behind one of the implants.

“My body is fighting [my implants],” she told fans earlier this summer. “My body can’t heal. My body is in fight mode constantly.”

Crawley said this summer that her on-again boyfriend, former “Bachelorette” contestant Dale Moss, was supportive of the decision.

“I was talking to Dale the other day, and he said, ‘Your boobs are not what make you beautiful.’ And it’s the truth. For so long, I believed that’s what it would take,” Crawley shared with followers. “To me, this is the ultimate love story, is loving your body enough to know this is not what makes me beautiful. My health and happiness is what matters.”
