Longtime ‘Today’ producer Jackie Levin leaving NBC News

Longtime “Today” producer Jackie Levin is leaving NBC News after 26 years at the network, Page Six is told.

Levin, who has been overseeing “Today”‘s third hour, is taking a buyout, boss Noah Oppenheim told staff on Tuesday.

Oppenheim, who said there may be some changes to come, wrote: “From conceiving and creating Rokerthon, to the countless series she helmed, to launching not one but two versions of the 9 a.m. hour in less than three years, Jackie has poured her heart and soul into every piece of programming she touches … We will miss her tenacity, perseverance and imagination.”

In an emotional email, Levin, who has worked on all four hours of “Today” during her stint at NBC, wrote to staff: “I am so proud of all we have accomplished as a team.”

She added: “I follow my own advice — complacency is a death sentence; settle for nothing less than the absolute best; never expect anything more from others than what you’d expect from yourself; always evolve as a person and as a leader; work hard and then work even harder, and always demand equal pay for your hard work; you and only you define who you are as a person; and never be afraid to speak up and speak out for what is right but especially for what is wrong.”
