Hamptons hotspot 75 Main loses liquor license over COVID violations

Another New York institution has fallen victim to COVID violations.

After Cipriani Downtown and Nello both lost their liquor licenses for flouting pandemic rules, now Page Six is told that longtime Hamptons hotspot 75 Main has also had its license pulled for violations related to COVID regulations and underage drinking.

The restaurant tells us it’s fired the staffers responsible.

According to the SLA, its investigators and local cops inspected the venue on Saturday night and found customers “ignoring social distancing, with most not wearing facial coverings” and “two bartenders and three servers without facial coverings.” It said that investigators returned later in the evening and found, “multiple employees and patrons standing, mingling and drinking around the bar without facial coverings, with several patrons from nearby tables wandering up to the bar to mingle and consume shots — in violation of the Governor’s Executive Order prohibiting walk-up bar service.”

It added that, “an 18-year-old underage agent was able to purchase alcohol on two separate occasions without being asked for identification.”

In a statement to Page Six, 75 Main owner Zach Erdem said, “75 Main has a zero tolerance policy for any violations of social distancing, mask requirements, or serving alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. We have terminated the personnel involved. We are working together with the State of New York to rectify this matter and have no greater priority than providing a safe environment for our patrons.”

75 Main has long been a celebrity hangout, with Joe Biden, Steve Mnuchin, Paris Hilton and Ivana Trump all spotted there in recent months.
