Prince Charles spent nearly $7M to support Prince William and Prince Harry

And you think your kids are moochers.

Prince Charles shelled out almost $7 million last year to support his two grown sons and their families — up almost $750,000 from the year before.

The tidy sum for Prince William and Prince Harry covers April 2019 through the end of March, “when the UK went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic,” reported The Express, which got a peek at Prince Charles’ annual Clarence House review.

Costs weren’t broken down between William and Harry, but more than a few Brits aren’t happy that Harry and wife Meghan Markle pocketed anything. One angry citizen fumed on Twitter: “Now that she has left the monarchy, she should pay Prince Charles back for the designer clothes he bought her.”

Markle’s closet could have more empty hangers since the American’s wardrobe had been funded by Prince Charles’ Duchy of Cornwall estate, which also paid for 95% of the Sussexes’ lifestyle.

“If she’s going to live [in the United States], I can’t imagine Prince Charles will go, ‘Listen, go to Givenchy twice a year and get whatever you want and we’ll foot the bill,’” royal expert Emma Forbes told Page Six Style earlier this year.
