Joy Behar didn’t miss Meghan McCain while she was on maternity leave

New year, same feud.

Joy Behar and Meghan McCain sparred on-air again during a heated “Hot Topics” segment on Tuesday’s episode of “The View.”

In a discussion about whether there should be more than two political parties in the U.S., Behar, 78, appeared annoyed when McCain, 36, interrupted her, telling her co-host, “Excuse me, I was speaking!”

McCain, who was on maternity leave until Monday after the birth of her first child, told Behar, “You missed me so much, Joy. You missed me so much when I was on maternity leave. You missed me so much. You missed fighting with me.”

Behar responded, “I did not. I did not miss you. Zero.”

McCain appeared offended by Behar’s comment, saying, “Oh, my God. You know what? That’s so nasty. That’s, like, so nasty. I was teasing and then you said something rude.”

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg then interjected, saying, “Everybody stop.”

On social media, people praised Behar for her brutal honesty.

One user’s comment, which has received over 200 likes, said, “Joy saying she didn’t miss fighting with Meghan was all of us #TheView.”

Another joked, “#JoyBehar telling #MeghanMcCain ‘I did not miss you’ very seriously on @TheView just now was the ‘first week back at work’ vibe most people have in 2021.”

Behar and McCain have had a long-running history of fighting on-camera.

In July, the co-hosts’ relationship hit a new low when they disagreed over Ivanka Trump’s pro-Goya stance.

McCain told Behar at the time, “Joy, you don’t have to be so snippy with me today, Joy. You really don’t. I’m talking because I’m paid to talk, and it’s my job, and that’s what I’m doing, Joy. If you have a problem with it, I don’t have to come to work today.”
