Billie Eilish walked the 2022 Oscars red carpet in a dramatic black Gucci frock decorated with row upon row of ruffles.
The “No Time To Die” singer, who in recent years has swerved away from her historically baggy outfits to show her curves, mixed her past and present styles in the oversized yet off-the-shoulder number.
The dress trailed behind Eilish in a short train as she posed on the red carpet.
She kept her makeup simple, looking fresh-faced in a nude lip, and went with a jet-black long bob that flipped at the shoulders.
As for jewels, Eilish, 20, sparkled in antique diamond star earrings, several diamond rings and a vintage platinum band, all by Fred Leighton.
Several critics of the singer took to social media to comment on Eilish’s polarizing ruffled dress.
“Maybe it’s me but this look is what i think the name ‘billie eilish’ looks like,” one person tweeted.
“THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT CAME TO MIND #Oscar#BillieEilish#Oscars2022,” a second person tweeted along with a photo of paper peanut butter cup wrappers.
“billie eilish is one beautiful piece of art,” said another.
“it’s billie eilish’s moment,” one more added.
Eilish attended the Academy Awards with her older brother and collaborator, Finneas. The “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night” singer, 24, coordinated with his younger sister, wearing a shiny black tuxedo.
Both siblings have been nominated for an Oscar for their song “No Time To Die,” which was written for the James Bond film of the same name.
They are also set to perform the song at the starry award show.
