‘Furious’ Anne Heche stormed off ‘DWTS’ set after elimination

A “furious” Anne Heche stormed off the set of “Dancing with the Stars” Monday night after being eliminated following a bizarre blunder, Page Six is told.

The actress and former girlfriend of Ellen DeGeneres refused to do press and drove off the studio lot immediately after being given the boot from the ABC show.

Viewers — and show judges — were left confused after new host Tyra Banks announced that “Cheer” coach Monica Aldama and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, were safe, when in reality they were in the bottom two.

Banks, 46, then announced that Heche, 51, and partner Keo Motsepe and Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd were in the bottom two, leaving Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko lingering on stage, wondering what was going on.

Banks was then forced to call Aldama and Chmerkovskiy back to the stage to face elimination.

“There has been an error in the control room. This is the craziness of live TV,” the supermodel said during the confusion. “I’m so sorry. This is live TV.”

Aldama and Chmerkovskiy were ultimately saved from the judges, while Heche went home.

“Anne was not happy — she was furious. She drove off the lot and refused to do any press,” a source told us.

“The honest truth is that it took 20 years to process and share that story, so finally, telling it and being voted off on the same night was not the best feeling,” Heche told Page Six Tuesday evening. “It did feel good to tell my story to show that we have come a long way, and we see things with more acceptance now — even though we are not all the way there yet, it’s important to recognize how far we have come.”

Banks later tweeted, “Wowzers. Live TV. Wrong name on cards. So challenging to deal with moments like these. But we power through.”

Many viewers, including pro dancer Chmerkovskiy, compared Banks’ blunder to Steve Harvey’s infamous mishap at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, when he announced the wrong winner.

“Just got Steve Harvey’d #dwts,” the dance pro wrote on Twitter.

Heche appeared to have cooled off as she appeared on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday morning.

The “Psycho” star had proudly danced the paso doble to Katy Perry’s “Rise,” revealing a Pride rainbow flag as her costume and said: “It’s been a blessing to be on this show.

“And to be able to tell my story. And to be able to have a partner to tell the truth with and to learn with.”

She added, “Listen, I live in love, I live in truth and I stood up for it 10 years ago, 20 years ago and I stand up for this very same thing today.”
