Larry King’s soon-to-be-ex-wife Shawn was completely blindsided by his divorce filing, according to pals.
Sources close to Shawn — who has been married to the broadcasting legend for nearly 22 (often tumultuous) years — told us that the first she heard of it was when she started to get calls from reporters who had obtained the divorce papers at the LA courthouse.
Insiders said Shawn is away in Utah, where she spends a lot of time visiting family, and that neither her husband nor his lawyers called her to break the news to her. She “was totally surprised,” said an insider.
The Blast reported that Larry filed the papers Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing the date of separation as June 6.
