Sean Spicer launching cable news talk show ‘Spicer & Co.’ in March

Sean Spicer has found his next TV gig. The former White House press secretary and “Dancing With the Stars” contestant is launching his own cable news talk show, “Spicer & Co.,” Page Six has exclusively learned.

“There will be a lot of talk about how the news is being covered and segments where we call out the media,” Spicer told us. “But it’s not a media watchdog. It’s more of a discussion — what people talk about at the dinner table.”

His new show will broadcast from a studio near the White House and feature “Washington insiders, experts, journalists and power brokers,” a press release said. It will premiere March 3, which falls on Super Tuesday, on conservative newcomer Newsmax TV.

Spicer, who lost his White House job in 2017, has taken on a new unpaid role as a member of President Trump’s Commission on White House Fellowships. He says he’s “100 percent” supportive of Trump’s re-election campaign, but his show won’t be all about the president.

“It’s less focused on news and is more of a conversation about the news and issues of the day,” Spicer told us. “It’ll be a cross-section — not just politics, but folks that are in entertainment and sports. The topics we’re going to cover will tilt right, but the idea is to have a discussion. You’re not going to have talking points thrown at you or just hear one side. It will be a holistic discussion.”

Spicer’s show was described to us by a TV insider as “ ‘Morning Joe’ at night” and it’s banking on Spicer’s reality-show cred to bring in viewers. The release for the show name-checks “DWTS” by saying: “With interpretations of the dance-floor favorites, Spicer lasted an impressive nine weeks on the popular show. Spicer is expected to blend the same buzz and excitement with the news of the day.”

Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy even described ratings for Spicer’s past White House press conferences as “off the charts.” “Sean has been on the inside of how decisions are made in a way so few have,” Ruddy said.
