Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney spotted at NYC marriage bureau

Did J. Law tie the knot?

The Oscar winner and fiancé Cooke Maroney were spotted at New York City’s marriage bureau on Monday, where they were seen with two security guards, a photographer and another friend.

The “Silver Linings Playbook” beauty and her art dealer beau were beaming and dressed down, with Maroney in a white sweatshirt and J. Law in gray blazer and jeans and clutching a piece of paper. One stunned onlooker wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!”

Adding to the speculation that Lawrence and Maroney got hitched, insiders told Page Six on Monday that the photographer with the couple was Mark Seliger — the top celebrity lensman known for shooting Vanity Fair and GQ covers. He’s also shot the portraits at Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar party studio, and is known for photographing stars such as Lawrence, Mick Jagger, Gisele Bündchen, Bob Dylan, Bono, Iggy Pop and Miley Cyrus. Just last month, Seliger posted a portrait of Lawrence with the caption: “Working with inspired talent like Jennifer is never dull, nor unentertaining.”

In one image obtained by The Post, Maroney seems to be covering his ring finger on his left hand outside the building.

J. Law and Maroney got engaged in February — and the Oscar winner recently admitted she had suffered a “bridezilla” moment.

The pair are due to throw a big wedding party next month and the actress admitted that she broke down in tears after she organized a bachelorette party at the last minute — and none of her friends could make it.

She told the “NAKED with Catt Sadler” podcast: “I’ve cried. I’ve officially joined the club.”

Speaking about the nuptials, J. Law — who recently returned to work after taking a year off — insisted she wasn’t nervous, revealing: “I’ve been in a good place. I haven’t been neurotic about it. I’m, like, too lazy to be neurotic.”

“I saw a dress I liked, I was like, ‘That’s the dress.’ I saw a venue, I was like, ‘Cool, we got the venue.'”

The actress — who dated actor Nicholas Hoult for four years — also shared that marriage was not on her mind before she met Maroney: “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like I’m ready to get married.”

“I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully and you know, he’s my best friend. I feel very honored to become a Maroney.”

She confirmed that she take his last name as well, adding: “I want to legally bind him to me forever and, fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing.”

“It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person on the planet, you’re like, ‘You can’t leave.’ So, I wanted to take up on that offer,” she told Sadler.

However, when it comes to her stage name, she will remain Jennifer Lawrence.

In June, a pal of J. Law told The Post: “Jennifer has a big career and the thing about Cooke is that he will help her navigate the stuff in Hollywood that doesn’t really matter.”

The star has definitely created a more relaxed life for herself after revealing she felt under pressure as her career skyrocketed.

She started dating Maroney, the director of the Gladstone 64 art gallery on the Upper East Side (among its clients are painter Carroll Dunham, father of “Girls” star Lena Dunham), in June 2018.

Maroney’s parents, art dealer James Maroney and Suki Fredericks, own Vermont’s Oliver Hill Farm — a popular wedding venue.

The couple have recently been apartment hunting in Manhattan and, according to a source close to Lawrence, will make efforts to stay connected while she is working: “Jen and Cooke have a very happy, trusting relationship. I can see them taking time out to travel together, with Cooke joining Jen on set.”

Reps for the pair couldn’t be contacted.
