Teens are flocking to see Jake Gyllenhaal in Broadway show

The weighty Broadway show “Sea Wall/A Life” is starting to resemble “a Justin Bieber” concert, we’re told.

Thanks to a bold artistic decision, Jake Gyllenhaal’s character sits at a standup piano onstage as the audience enters the auditorium.

And apparently word has spread, as teen fans of the Hollywood heartthrob have realized it means they can get a good stretch of live, uninterrupted ogling time before the curtain.

“It’s so funny,” said a theatergoer, “all these kids are going right up to the stage and trying to get his attention. They’re pressed right up at the front — it’s like a Justin Bieber show.”

We’re told that the poor ushers at the Hudson Theatre have taken on a combined role of concert security and long-suffering chaperones.

“I heard this one guy hissing at them, like, ‘Stop it! You can’t do that! Sit down!,’ ” the spy added.

“It looked like [Gyllenhaal] was trying not to laugh.”

A rep for the show shot back, “Jake is a consummate professional. He’s not ‘trying not to laugh’; his character is trying not to laugh.”
