Tim Tebow drops $2.9 million on Florida mansion

Tim Tebow has switched from football to baseball, but there’s one constant in his life — Florida is his home base. The minor leaguer has purchased a big-league home in the gated Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.

The Heisman Trophy winner also has some serious real estate game. He purchased the property for $2.9 million in June. The contemporary beauty originally landed on the market for $3.5 million, which means the 31-year-old scored a heckuva deal on the property.

Built in 2016, the massive contemporary-style home features five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms spread over 8,247 square feet of interior space.

The open floor plan features a gourmet kitchen with marble counters and two islands with seating. The cooking area adjoins the living space, which opens out to the patio.

There’s also a 120-bottle wine room, two offices, a gym and a home theater and game room with a bar.

In addition, a formal dining room has enough space for a small seating area and a grand piano.

Outside, the 1.49 acres include a large veranda overlooking the pool, lake and golf course. A covered space offers lounging and dining areas. Guests can also relax around a fire pit.

This is the second property the professional athlete has picked up in the community. In 2014, he reportedly paid $1.4 million for a smaller home, also in Glen Kernan.

The popular quarterback played in the NFL from 2010 to 2015 and could never match the success he enjoyed in college. In 2016, he signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets, after retiring from football.
