Pete Davidson addresses suicide scare on ‘SNL’

Pete Davidson appeared on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, where he addressed last month’s alarming Instagram post.

Appearing alongside Colin Jost on “Weekend Update,” Davidson, 25, began his part of the segment, stating, “I’ve had a really crazy month, and I want to talk about something that matters a lot to me.”

When Jost replied, “mental health,” Davidson responded, “no,” before shifting gears to discuss Clint Eastwood’s film, “The Mule,” with fellow comedian John Mulaney.

Mulaney noted he has been spending time with Davidson “to show him that you can have a life in comedy that is not insane, a sober domestic life.”

Davidson later quipped, “After observing John’s life, I publicly threatened suicide. I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t make that joke.”

In December, Davidson sparked a social media panic after writing, “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore.” Several celebrities, including Davidson’s ex, Ariana Grande, took to Twitter to show their support.

“Pete, you are loved by many and we are glad you are okay,” Mulaney told Davidson, before continuing their discussion on the 2018 film.

Following the suicide scare, Davidson has been focused on his comedy shows and spending time with friends. Last week, he took in a basketball game with pal Machine Gun Kelly.
