Colton Underwood‘s season of “The Bachelor” didn’t end with an engagement to Cassie Randolph on Tuesday night, but that’s not to say a future proposal is out of the question.
“She doesn’t have a ring on her finger yet,” Underwood, 27, told People. “But she will, one day.”
After enduring a shocking breakup with Randolph, 23, on an earlier episode, Underwood was ready to risk it all for the woman he fell in love with, which included a fence jump seen around Bachelor Nation. He later sent finalists Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin packing, in the hopes of reconnecting with Randolph.
“I know there’s a certain format that comes along with being ‘The Bachelor,'” Underwood explained. “But this was about the rest of my life. And I couldn’t risk giving Cassie up.”
As for Randolph, a speech pathologist from California, she’s excited about what the next chapter of her life with Underwood could hold.
“We definitely talk about our future engagement,” she shared. “We’re both excited to get to that point.”
But for now, they’re taking their relationship one day at a time.
“We’re going to ‘Frozen’ on Broadway tomorrow for our first date,” Underwood revealed Wednesday on “Good Morning America.”
“We’re going to enjoy going to movies, dinners, we’ll see where it goes.”
