Katy Perry is pregnant, the 35-year-old singer confirmed to fans following the Wednesday night release of her new music video.
The artist shared the news — that she and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, are expecting their first child together — in an Instagram Live video after the premiere of “Never Worn White.”
“There’s a lot that will be happening this summer; not only will I be giving birth — literally — but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for,” Perry told fans, alluding to her forthcoming album.
Perry later continued to spread the word on Twitter, writing, “omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore.”
She added: “or carry around a big purse lol.”
Fans of the “American Idol” judge were speculating on whether she was pregnant since she released a teaser for the new music earlier Wednesday.
In the clip, Perry is seen cradling her baby bump while wearing a long white gown.
She has been in a relationship with Bloom, 43, since 2016. They got engaged in February 2019. He shares a 9-year-old son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
