Pete Davidson’s dark Instagram post sparks social media panic

Pete Davidson posted an extremely dark message on Instagram — and then deleted his account — in a situation that has many friends and fellow celebs fearing for his well-being.

“I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore,” he wrote. “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all I’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember I told you so.”

The 25-year-old, who has been open about his struggles with mental health, commended Kanye West in a previous post for his “bravery” in discussing mental health issues following a spat between his ex Ariana Grande and the rapper.

Grande and Davidson called off their engagement in October.

The singer, 26, took to Twitter apologizing that her initial joke to promote her new song, “Imagine,” amid West’s Twitter feud with Drake took such a turn.

“Man i’m so sorry i told a dumb joke,” she wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. “i really didn’t mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god.”

NYPD authorities confirmed to The Post that they conducted a welfare check and made contact with Davidson.

Additionally, actor Jon Cryer tweeted that he’s heard Davidson is “at SNL and accounted for.”

The Post confirmed Davidson is at work at NBC in Manhattan where “SNL” is filmed.

But Davidson’s only contribution to the live broadcast would be his three-second introduction of musical guests Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson.

The network would not comment.

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly took also took to Twitter letting fans know that he was on his way to see the young comedian.

“im in the plane now on the way to see Pete,” he tweeted. “gonna make sure he’s good, i promise. can’t have my boy in the darkness like that.”

Grande also said in a another now-deleted tweet that she was “downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything. I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but i’m here too.”

Although the singer didn’t specify where she was exactly, Twitter users speculated that she was at the network’s headquarters, 30 Rockefeller Center.

Other celebrities including Nicki Minaj and Kid Cudi showed their support for Davidson as well as Kanye West on social media.

“We can be so insensitive,” Minaj wrote. “God bless Kanye & Pete. Being flippant about mental illness speaks more about you than them. Stop saying the word love & live it. Love is an action.”

Cudi wrote, “Thinkin about U Pete. Hit me back bro.”

Earlier this month, Davidson said on Instagram that he’d never take his own life following the bullying he’s endured since he was romantically linked to Grande.

“I’ve spoken about [borderline personality disorder] and being suicidal publicly only in the hopes that it will help bring awareness and help kids like myself who don’t want to be on this earth,” he wrote in a lengthy post. “I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this.”

Davidson’s rep didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
