Stan Lee speaks out on elder abuse rumors and health trouble

Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee has broken his silence on the chaos in his life — from fights with financial managers to claims his daughter beat him — and he insists he’s doing just super.

“There really isn’t that much drama,” the 95-year-old told The Daily Beast on Monday. “As far as I’m concerned, we have a wonderful life.”

In the interview, Lee denied reports that his daughter, J.C., abused him by smashing his head into a chair and that she also charged thousands of his dollars.

“I wish that everyone would be as abusive to me as J.C.,” the comic pioneer quipped, as J.C., 67, sat beside him. “She is a wonderful daughter. We have occasional spats. But I have occasional spats with everyone.”

When asked about the spending allegations, J.C. replied: “Six figures? I’d love it. I’d be out the door and at the beach. No.”

In the past year, Lee filed a billion-dollar lawsuit against Pow! Entertainment, alleging business partners took advantage of his declining eyesight to swindle him.

That lawsuit was dropped, but it was soon followed by a similar suit that accused Lee’s former publicist, Jerry Olivarez, of elder abuse by draining Lee’s accounts of $1.4 million and using Lee’s blood in a stamp mark to sell special-edition comic books.

In June, a judge extended a restraining order against Lee’s former business manager, Keya Morgan, for three years.

“I learned later on in life, you need advisors if you’re making any money at all. My first bunch of people were people that I shouldn’t have trusted,” Lee said.

Earlier this year, Lee — who created or co-created nearly every iconic Marvel superhero — was accused of groping and harassing the nurses who care for him at his Los Angeles home.

He was not asked about the claims in the interview, but the Daily Beast noted his reps have previously called the claims “extortion.”

By the end of the interview, the Marvel Comics mogul admitted: “I miss the creating.”
