Heather Locklear released after three-day psychiatric hold

Troubled actress Heather Locklear has been released following her three-day hold in a hospital psych ward, according to a report Thursday.

Locklear, 56, was hospitalized over the weekend in California after threatening to shoot herself because she thought her fiancé, Chris Heisser, was cheating on her, sources and reports have said.

Heisser was not currently with Locklear and was giving her “space,” according to Radar Online, which first reported that Locklear was out of the hospital.

“Chris is giving her the space she needs,” a source told Radar Online. “But he will return soon.”

Before the former “T.J. Hooker” star was rushed to the hospital Sunday, she allegedly went after her parents as they attempted to calm her down.

Locklear’s rep did not immediately return a request for comment.

“[Her father] tried to help her, but she, in turn, choked her mom and hit her dad,” a source previously told Radar Online of the incident.

According to the incident’s 911 tape, Locklear’s mother told the dispatcher that her daughter was suicidal and “looking for a gun to shoot herself.”

“She does not have access to any weapons,” the 911 dispatcher relays to responding cops, referring to Locklear. “She is agitated and violent.”

A law enforcement source told Radar Online that Locklear was placed under an involuntary 5150 medical hold after she proved to be a “threat” to herself and others.
