Harvey Weinstein escaped injury after crashing his car into a tree

Harvey Weinstein can only hope he’s this lucky when he goes on trial for sex assault charges next year.

The disgraced Hollywood mogul escaped injury when he crashed his 2017 Jeep in Westchester County, law enforcement sources told The Post on Monday.

Weinstein, 67, was driving through Bedford when he smashed into a tree along Bedford Center Road near Succabone Road around 8:55 a.m. on Aug. 17, sources said.

Weinstein told cops he swerved to avoid a deer, sources said.

The vehicle wound up on its side and Weinstein had to kick his way out, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Weinstein’s ex-wife, fashion designer Georgina Chapman, recently bought a farm in Bedford and Weinstein has been renting a small home nearby so he can be close to their kids, another source said.

Weinstein’s reps declined to comment.

Weinstein pleaded not guilty on Monday to two new counts of predatory sexually assault filed after Manhattan prosecutors re-presented the case against him to a grand jury that heard testimony from “The Sopranos” actress Annabella Sciorra, who claims that Weinstein raped her in 1993.

Those allegations can’t be prosecuted due to the statute of limitations that was in effect at the time, but Sciorra will now be able to testify against Weinstein when he goes on trial in the alleged sexual assault of production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and the alleged rape of a longtime lover, who hasn’t been publicly identified, in 2013.

The legal maneuver — similar to the one that helped convict Bill Cosby last year — postponed the scheduled start of the case from Sept. 9 to Jan. 6.

Weinstein has denied any wrongdoing, and defense lawyer Donna Rotunno said Monday, “We plan on filing many motions attempting to again dismiss these counts.”
