Kid Rock’s recent show at Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was canceled “due to an illness,” but it was unclear what made the star so sick.
Sources told Page Six that the country-rapper was out on the town the night before, then fled in a chopper.
The “American Bad Ass” singer was scheduled to play the Hard Rock for two nights — Oct. 19 and 20.
Sources said that after the first show, Rock and pals rocked into Robert’s Steakhouse at the Hard Rock, and they were disappointed that a private room was occupied.
The group was then accommodated in another area of the hotel, we hear.
There was buzz that the hick-hopper returned to his room sometime after 4 a.m. Saturday morning and ordered room service.
But, a source told us, “He was waiting an hour, an hour and a half, then it was two hours” for his order.
Finally, “he just ordered a helicopter and left town.”
Come Saturday night, the second gig was canceled.
A rep for Rock didn’t comment.
A Hard Rock rep told us only that the hotel “announced that due to illness, the Kid Rock Saturday concert performance had been canceled. Ticket holders can receive a full refund at point of purchase.”
One fan said on Twitter that Rock “canceled at @HardRock in Atlantic City supposedly because of poor service.”
Either way, he’ll host Hard Rock Punta Cana’s Flyin’ High Island Jam next year in the Dominican Republic.
