Stevie Nicks posts own TikTok to ‘Dreams,’ brings meme full circle

Well, this was inevitable.

Stevie Nicks has finally nodded at the resurgence of Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 tune “Dreams”aided by cranberry-juice-drinking skateboarder Nathan Apodaca — with a TikTok of her own, in which she roller-skates to the apparently deathless song.

“Afternoon vibe,” Nicks, 72, captioned the clip. “Lace ’em up,” she added, being sure to tag Apodaca, which is naturally a thrill to all of us who never thought we’d see Nicks use any or all of the phrase “420doggface208,” the Idaho Falls skateboarder’s handle.

It’s nice to see Nicks in a better mood, considering the last time we heard from her, she was opining that the coronavirus pandemic was “stealing her last youthful years.”

“I don’t have just 10 years to hang around and wait for this thing to go away,” she told the Associated Press last week. “I have places to go, people to sing for, another album to make.”

As far as Apodaca, he’s made the most of his time in the spotlight since his original clip — in which he serenely skates down the street lip-syncing “Dreams” while drinking Ocean Spray — went wildly viral earlier this month. Not only did he get a truck filled with cranberry juice, but he’s also raised over $10,000 toward a new RV.
