Caitlyn Jenner breaks silence on ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ ending

Caitlyn Jenner had no idea “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” was coming to an end until her family members made the announcement earlier this week.

“Nobody called me, I heard it through the media,” 70-year-old Jenner revealed in an interview with Australia’s “The Morning Show” on Wednesday. “Was I surprised? No, but that show … it’s probably the greatest reality show in history.”

On Tuesday, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Rob Kardashian and Scott Disick each posted the same statement announcing that their reality show would be ending after its 20th season.

Caitlyn, who appeared on the E! show from 2007-2016 and starred in the spin-off “I Am Cait,” commended her family members for their hard work over the years.

“There are over 500 episodes of 14 years,” Caitlyn said. “These girls have done just an amazing job to keep the show going, come up with material.”

But she added that it was time for them to move on.

“The girls have done, and Kris has done, just an amazing job with the show and keeping it going this long, but everybody is in a different place now and I think it’s time to move on. What a run,” she said.

She continued, “Nothing lasts forever, and shows do come and go … So at some point it’s going to come to an end.”

Caitlyn added that she “wasn’t surprised,” and that she was “so proud of the kids for doing such a great job over the years.”

And with several of the Kardashian-Jenners starting their own business ventures, Caitlyn feels “they really want to pursue the other things probably more right now ’cause there’s where their future is.”

Much of the former Olympian’s personal life played out on camera over the years including her divorce from Kris as well as when she came out as trans in 2015.

Page Six exclusively reported this week that the “KUWTK” cast members grew tired of the show after 14 years on air.
