Princess Beatrice’s wedding likely to be ‘scaled down’ amid Prince Andrew scandal

Princess Beatrice‘s upcoming wedding will likely be “scaled down” in wake of her Duke of York dad’s humiliating Jeffrey Epstein scandal, according to a royal expert.

Few details have emerged about Beatrice’s nuptials to multimillionaire real-estate magnate Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi since Prince Andrew’s nightmare BBC interview about his ties to Epstein.

The disastrous sit-down resulted in Andrew publicly stepping down from his royal duties, as well as the cancellation of his 60th birthday bash this February at Buckingham Palace.

“But also I think they’re going to have to rethink the arrangements for Beatrice’s wedding,” royal correspondent Jennie Bond said Thursday on UK morning show “Lorraine,” according to the Express.

Bond said Beatrice and her soon-to-be hubby had been planning their wedding on the same scale as her sister, Princess Eugenie, who married Jack Brooksbank in an opulent ceremony at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in 2018.

“But there were outcries of security costs for the taxpayer and I don’t think they’ll want a similar embarrassment for Beatrice so I imagine that will be scaled down somewhat,” Bond added.

Andrew, who has long been accused of sleeping with one of Epstein’s young “sex slaves” Virginia Roberts Giuffre, reportedly skipped Beatrice’s celebrity-studded engagement party in December. But he still plans to walk her down the aisle on her big day.

The royal family expert suggested that 2020 could bring further embarrassment to Andrew, who’s faced ridicule for claiming he was incapable of sweating in an attempt to debunk Giuffre’s allegations.

“I don’t think it’s going to go away, the Epstein scandal, his long standing friendship with this convicted pedophile now dead,” Bond said. “I think there will be further revelation.”

Epstein died by suicide in his Manhattan jail cell shortly after being arrested on federal sex-trafficking charges.
