Drake honors Tupac with matching $300K diamond chains

Drake is paying tribute to late hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur with some bespoke bling.

The Toronto rapper, 33, took to Instagram Wednesday to give his nearly 70 million followers a glimpse of his latest acquisitions: a pair of matching Tupac Jesus pendants, one blue, the other red.

Dreamt up by Drake himself and crafted by celebrity favorite Jason of Beverly Hills, the chains took five weeks and over 150 man hours to complete, and are valued at $300,000 apiece.

Depicting Tupac wearing a crown of thorns, each pendant is accompanied by a diamond chain featuring approximately 70 carats of flawless white and natural yellow diamonds and over a half a kilo of gold in total.

“Always wanted twin Jesus pieces thank you @jasonofbeverlyhills,” the “Toosie Slide” rapper captioned his short social media clip showing off the twin chains.

These pricey new pieces represent only a small fraction of the OVO superstar’s jewelry collection. In the last year alone, Drizzy has been seen rocking well in excess of $1 million in new bling alone, including the bespoke OVO chain featured in his “Life is Good” music video and the $500,000 heart-shaped diamond ring he gifted himself for his 33rd birthday.
