Jane Fonda may have “closed up shop down there,” but she’s all for pushing the products.

The 81-year-old actress appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Tuesday with her “Grace & Frankie” co-star, Lily Tomlin, where she revealed her character Grace explores the use of a vibrator for the first time.

Fonda explained the difficulty more mature ladies experience using the sex toy, saying, “Especially for older women…when the print is so small and you’re old and you can’t read it.”

She added of her character, “Grace had never used a vibrator before and our friend who died [in the show] left us presents that she knew we could really use and she left me, Grace, a vibrator and I disappeared into my room and when I came out I had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.”

But the actress explained the experience, of which the recounting left DeGeneres looking wide-eyed in front of her daytime audience, opened up an unexpected door as Fonda revealed she and Tomlin were recruited by a vibrator company.

“It was so good that a real company tried to go into business with us,” she said. “They wanted us to make a demonstration film.”

Tomlin then jumped in saying, “I had to stop her from signing the contract,” to which Fonda responded, “I wanted to do it, but she’s so square.”

Their series has been picked up for its sixth season on Netflix.
