Richard Kirshenbaum is the new Candace Bushnell.
The author’s book “Isn’t That Rich?: Life Among the 1 Percent” has been optioned by Ben Silverman and Jordan Schur for a scripted TV series to be produced by “Sex and the City” alum Amy Harris.
The book started out, like Bushnell’s “Sex and the City,” with Kirshenbaum’s columns in the New York Observer. But while Bushnell’s stories were more about sex, shoes and cosmopolitans, advertising mogul Kirshenbaum chronicles the lifestyles of the Upper East Side’s superrich.
