Kanye West to begin recording with Lorde

Kanye West is back from his concert dates in Australia and is about to start recording with Lorde, sources tell Page Six.

After his headline-grabbing appearance in Sydney, West touched down in LA on Tuesday with Kim Kardashian and baby North and is ready to head back into the studio with the edgy female artist.

Music industry sources say it makes sense for West and Lorde to record together — she has cited the rapper as an influence and covered his songs on tour, including “Flashing Lights” and the “Yeezus” track “Hold My Liquor.” Their reps didn’t get back to us.

It’s been a dramatic week for Kanye, who set off a media furor by reportedly demanding a man in a wheelchair stand up during his concert in Sydney.

At his following Monday show in Brisbane, Kanye hit back at critics with one of his trademark tirades.

“It’s like, ‘Welcome to today’s news, ladies and gentlemen.’ We’ve got Americans getting killed on TV, kids getting killed every weekend in Chicago, unarmed people getting killed by police officers . . . It makes you just want to reflect on what are the things that are a little bit more sensationalized than others . . . So, people on the ‘Today’ show, I’m not sure I keep up with the news, but if Michael Strahan is still at the ‘Today’ show — no, ‘Good Morning America,’ Matt Lauer, the girls on ‘The View’ — Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Roberts, if y’all run this, take a step back and look at this: I’m a married Christian man with a family. At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible. So all this demonizing me, it ain’t going to work after a while. Pick a new target . . . Because I’m not one of these dumb-ass artists that you’re used to. You come at me, I’m going to take my platform and break this s - - t down for real, intelligent people every night. And then, we’ll get back to the music.”
