Like much of Hollywood, Matt Damon is mourning Robin Williams, with whom he co-starred in the Academy Award-winning film, “Good Will Hunting.”
“Robin brought so much joy into my life and I will carry that joy with me forever,” Damon told Us Weekly on Tuesday. “He was such a beautiful man. I was lucky to know him and I will never, ever forget him.”
Damon’s co-star, Ben Affleck, said he was “heartbroken” in a statement via his Facebook Tuesday. “Thanks chief-for your friendship and for what you gave the world,” he said. “Robin had a ton of love in him. He personally did so much for so many people. He made matt and my dreams come true.”
Williams, Damon and Affleck all won Oscars for their work in the 1997 film. While Williams earned the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, Damon and Affleck took home Oscars for Best Original Screenplay.
