In April 2013, self-proclaimed "World's First Supermodel" Janice Dickinson filed for bankruptcy. According to the Huffington Post, the mouthy former model claimed $1 million in debt, $8,000 of which was owed to her dermatologist alone.

The Huffington Post reports that IRS froze Lindsay Lohan's bank accounts because she owed them $234,000. Charlie Sheen helped her cover the debt, but she still owed about $3 million in debt to various creditors, including her long-suffering attorney, Shawn Holley. And to think this is the least of her problems.

Toni Braxton filed for bankruptcy not once, but twice, first in 1998 and then in 2010. However, Braxton's bad finances may be a case of bad luck over bad choices, per Rolling Stone: Her contract with LaFace Records was reportedly less than favorable, leading to her 1998 filing, and she had to cancel a 2010 one-woman show in Las Vegas due to lupus, leaving her $50 million in the hole. Braxton has since starred on Broadway, in a reality series and on Lifetime, and has a collaboration album in the works—enough to let her purchase a $3 million home only months after settling her second bankruptcy filing.

Another former "Baywatch" babe, Donna D'Errico, filed for bankruptcy in February 2014. The Daily Mail reports that the blond beauty claimed her debts were almost double her income ... the main source of which was alimony from ex-husband Nikki Sixx.

In 2013, Stephen Baldwin pleaded guilty to three years of failing to file tax returns, according to CNN. He paid $300,000 and narrowly avoided jail time.

"CSI" star Gary Dourdan filed for bankruptcy in 2011. Business Insider reports the actor owed $1.73 million to creditors, while reporting $1.8 million in assets.

What's goin' on?! Rolling Stone reports that Marvin Gaye filed for bankruptcy in 1979 and spent time living in a bread van.

MC Hammer made $33 million in 1991 and quickly blew through it with a $30 million mansion (complete with a 17-car garage), fancy cars, planes and a huge entourage. Rolling Stone reports that by 1996, he was $14 million in debt and filed for bankruptcy.

TMZ reports that former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Warren Sapp filed for bankruptcy in 2012, owing $6.7 million to creditors, four different baby mamas and the IRS, while claiming $6.5 million to his name.

Lawsuits from managers and producers, as well as low record sales, led Meat Loaf to file for bankruptcy in 1983. Luckily, the belter came back like a bat out of hell.

Randy Quaid and his wife may have been prophetic when they released a film called "The Debtors," because its expenses and failure led them to file for bankruptcy in 2000, citing debts of $3.5 million and assets of $3.4 million.

Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell filed for bankruptcy in February 2014, claiming to owe $581,000 to creditors (per Us Weekly). Looks like trolling Beliebers doesn't pay as much as he thought.

In his prime, Mickey Rooney was worth about $12 million. Unfortunately, his film popularity didn't last forever: In 1962, Business Insider claims, he filed for bankruptcy, claiming only $500 in assets.

Business Insider reports Kim Basinger filed for bankruptcy after she backed out of the film "Boxing Helena" in 1993. Main Line Pictures sued her for $7 million in damages, which she eventually settled down to $3.8 million.

Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, a controversial member of chart-topping American R&B trio TLC, was killed in a car crash in Honduras on April 25, 2002, a spokeswoman for her record label said. Lopes, who was in her early 30s, made the headlines in 1994 after she was arrested for burning down the house of then-boyfriend, former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Andre Rison. TLC filed for bankruptcy in 1995 after their deal with LaFace Records reportedly only netted each singer $35,000 per year after management, production and tax expenses. According to Rolling Stone, the songbirds reported $3.5 million in debts, many stemming from high insurance after Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes committed arson, as well as for Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins' medical bills relating to sickle cell anemia. Watkins filed for bankruptcy solo in 2011 due to more medical bills, not only due to sickle cell anemia, but also a brain tumor.

Business Insider reports that Nicolas Cage amassed an impressive $150 million, spending it on real estate, rare relics, yachts, a funeral pyramid (really) ... but forgetting to give his cash to the government. The star owed $14 million in taxes dating back to 2007, forcing him to sell lots of his luxurious odds and ends to cover the debt.

All that "Baywatch" money couldn't keep Pamela Anderson afloat forever. Radar Online reports the bombshell reportedly had to put her house on the market to help pay over $1 million in back taxes to Uncle Sam.

Somebody call Dr. Feelgood! Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil filed for bankruptcy in 2005, citing $1.5 million in debts, including over $4,000 owed to the IRS. Adding insult to injury, Neil's attorney in his bankruptcy filing sued him in 2010 for not paying his legal bills.

Evander Holyfield earned $200 million over two decades, but it didn't last. Per Business Insider, Holyfield owed $200,000 in back taxes and $500,000 in child support in 2012. What's more, in 2008, the boxer's 109-room Atlanta mansion was foreclosed; it was auctioned in 2012 to pay off Holyfield's $14 million debt to JP Morgan-Chase.

Business Insider notes that Donald Trump had a special way of coming out of financial disasters safely: Trump filed for corporate bankrupty four separate times, in 1991, 1992, 2004 and 2009. However, the orange-skinned, mysteriously coiffed mogul has never filed for personal bankruptcy.

Perpetually suspendered TV staple Larry King was accused of stealing $5,000 from a business partner in the early 1970s and filed for bankruptcy in 1978. Luckily, he got an offer for his first talk show the same year.

In 1983, Wayne Newton made the Guinness Book of World Records for highest-paid performer in the world. However, it didn't last long: By 1992, he was $20 million in debt and filed for bankruptcy stemming from bad investments, and perhaps bad injections.

Terrell Owens blew through $70 million, with the bulk of the blame going to his baby mama drama: Owens reportedly owed as much as $50,000 a month to four different women. TMZ reports that Owens alleges that his financial advisers also did in his fortune, taking them to court for alleged forgery, bad investments and opening bank accounts without his knowledge.

Who knew Mike Tyson's life decisions could get worse than a face tattoo? Business Insider reports the infamous boxer was once worth $400 million, but extravagant spending landed him $50 million in the red, leading him to file for bankruptcy in 2003. Tyson has since said he's out of debt.

Chris Tucker was the highest-paid actor in Hollywood in 2007, with a deal for $25 million for "Rush Hour 3." However, the star owed almost $11 million in back taxes, per TMZ, forcing him to sell two Florida mansions and one Los Angeles property to repay the debt.

"Diff'rent Strokes" star Gary Coleman was worth $7 million in his 1980s heyday, but filed for bankruptcy in 1999. Coleman blamed his accountants, as well as his adoptive parents, for his dire financial status.
