It’s over for Ramona and Mario Singer.

“I have decided to move on with my life without Mario,” she wrote on her Facebook page Thursday. “I tried my best to make my marriage work. I am excited for the new chapter in my life.”

After months of trying to ignore reports of infidelity, the “Real Housewives of New York City” star made the decision to leave her husband despite openly denying that they were having problems. In April, Ramona was still optimistic that her marriage would make it through the rough patch.

“[We] feel very positive about [our] future together. All marriages hit bumps, some bigger than others,” she told People.

Even when Mario’s alleged mistress attempted to confront Ramona, she quickly had security escort her out of the restaurant she was dining at.

“Ramona has been protecting him,” Ramona’s former co-star Jill Zarin told People back in January. “She looked the other way when people told her he was cheating.”

The couple, who have one daughter, are ending their marriage after 25 years.
