Queen Bey flew her feminist flag high on Tuesday after uploading a photo mimicking the iconic Rosie the Riveter pose underneath the words “We Can Do It!” The snapshot garnered over a million likes within a few short hours.
The pop star’s strong stance on women’s rights shouldn’t come as a surprise to her fans. After all, this is the woman behind such hits as “Independent Women,” “Survivor,” “Run the World (Girls)” and “Bow Down.”
The powerful pic was posted amidst rumors that she and husband Jay Z – with whom she’s currently headlining the “On The Run” tour – are allegedly seeing a marriage counselors to ward off a possible divorce.
Maybe now the critics will back off, because judging by the state of Bey’s biceps, she’s ready to put up a fight.
