Two months after his ex-flame Kim Kardashian tied the knot, Reggie Bush wed longtime gal pal Lilit Avagyan in California last weekend.
While the former lovers, who were on-again off-again from 2007 to 2010, may have gotten married just months apart, that is where the similarities between the weddings of the reality star, 33, and NFL veteran, 29, end.
While People magazine describes Bush’s wedding as “lavish,” his sounds downright quaint when compared to Kardashian’s decadent wedding to Kanye West.
Let’s take a closer look at how the two ceremonies match up:
Location
The reality star celebrated her nuptials at Forti di Belvedere in Florence, while her sporty former beau and his new wife were married at Grand Del Mar in San Diego. As nice as a luxury hotel may be, it can’t really hold a candle to a castle.
Attire
Neither the running back nor his bride looked shabby, wearing Tom Ford and Galia Lahav, respectively. But they were again outdone by their counterparts, who sported custom made Givenchy garments on their special day.
Entertainment
The 250 guests at the Bush/Avagyan union were treated to a dance by the bride, who’s a professional ballroom dancer and big band music. The lucky few who traveled to Italy got their very own private John Legend concert. Also, West reportedly gave a 45-minute toast to himself.
Mood
Bush and Avagyan are reported to have been “all smiles all day,” while the tone at the Kardashian/West wedding was decidedly more fraught. West reportedly freaked out about the sound system, lighting and bar, while Kardashian is said to have flipped when she noticed a spotlight was focused on her crotch even though she walked into the beam of light.
Bathrooms
No word on what the facilities were like in San Diego, but the 49-foot-tall gold box housing bathrooms — Torre di Bagni Oro (translation: the Gold Toilet Tower) — in Florence is said to have been the “star of the show.”
Brody Jenner
Kardashian’s stepbrother skipped her wedding, but he and girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter were in attendance at “good friend” Bush’s nuptials. The reality star and rapper’s wedding did have Jaden Smith in a white Batman suit, though.
