Lady Gaga, Chris Pratt and more take on Ice Bucket Challenge

Brrr!

The Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral, with celebrities posting videos in which they’re doused with ice water in an effort to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Participants must dump a bucket of ice water over their heads, but if they can’t brave the chill, the alternative is to donate $100 to the ALS Association.

Most accept the challenge, opting to get soaked and donate, too. The challenge is seemingly endless because celebs have been naming friends to follow suit — and they have just 24 hours to respond.

Lady Gaga posted her video via Instagram on Monday. In her 15-second vid, she is dressed in a leather leotard and doesn’t speak a word. Her caption called out some fellow celebrities: “#IceBucketChallenge #ALS #SharePainShowCompassion I nominate Adele, Michael Rapino, Vincent Herbert, and Arthur Fogel #RichPeople”

Charlie Sheen‘s video hit the Web on Monday, but instead of ice water, Sheen makes it rain money — $10,000, to be exact. At the end of the video, he calls out former “Two and a Half Men” co-star Jon Cryer, show creator Chuck Lorre and current star Ashton Kutcher to donate the same amount.

“Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt was challenged by Disney president Bob Iger. Not only does Pratt take down some icy shots in his video, but he gets multiple buckets of water dumped on his head. He challenged Gregory Smith, Nick Offerman and Dave Batista.

Even Oprah Winfrey took up the challenge on Friday. Before she was covered in ice water by her friend Gayle King, she called out Steven Spielberg, Dame Helen Mirren and Manish Dayal.

Taylor Swift and Jaime King got a group of people to do the challenge with them. Swift donated $100 on behalf of each person who did the challenge with her. She then challenged Selena Gomez, Emma Stone and Ed Sheeran.

Rob Riggle, Jimmy Fallon, Horatio Sanz, Steve Higgins and The Roots all did the challenge together on “The Tonight Show.” Jimmy Fallon nominated the entire New York Jets football team.

Mark Zuckerberg challenged Bill Gates, who responded by making his own bucket contraption. He called out Elon Musk, Ryan Seacrest and Chris Anderson of TED.

“Scandal” star Kerry Washington took her ALS bucket for the team, as they didn’t want to reveal who was currently shooting on the set of the ABC show. She was also nominated by Bob Iger, while the rest of the crew was challenged by the cast of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

On Sunday, Drake accepted the ALS challenge in the middle of his Lil Wayne Vs. Drake concert tour in Pittsburgh. The 27-year-old rapper challenged Beyoncé to the task.

Justin Bieber also dumped a bucket of ice water on his head. He nominated Ellen DeGeneres, Barack Obama and Chris Delia. President Obama has also been nominated by LeBron James, but has not yet accepted.

Martha Stewart took on the ice challenge from Matt Lauer. Even though the ALS dare went viral over the weekend, Stewart was ahead of the crowd and completed her video last month. She called out Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ellen DeGeneres.
