A socialite and her mom are suing a Midtown hotel, saying a valet swiped $80,000 worth of their jewelry.

Scenester Melissa Berkelhammer, 37, and her widowed mom Jo Ellen Berkelhammer, 71, checked into the $450-a-night Park Central Hotel for a week last March.

They hired a night valet named “Joan” to help pack up seven large suitcases at checkout.

When the Berkelhammers unpacked the next day they were allegedly horrified to learn that “everything arrived intact except for the two containers of jewelry.”

The missing jewelry included pieces from Cartier, David Yurman and Armenta and cosmetics from Chanel, Dior and Bobbi Brown, the women’s lawyer Eleanor Vale said, adding, perhaps in some overstatement, “This is a tragedy!”

The suit says the stolen property was reported to the police, but Park Central has refused to investigate or compensate the victims.

Hotel reps didn’t immediately comment.

This is the latest in series of unfortunate incidents involving the family.

In June, Page Six reported on Melissa’s car accident that left her with two broken legs.
