NY Times glosses over gay relationship with Sessums bio

The Sunday Styles section of the New York Times told us almost everything about former Vanity Fair writer Kevin Sessums — except for the story of how he seduced Barry Goldwater’s grandson Ty Ross Goldwater and wrote about it.

The Times revealed the intravenous meth, the HIV, the falling away from his mentors Tina Brown and Graydon Carter, even the two tattooed adages of Keats and Dickinson that make no sense at all.

But the Gray Lady tastefully omitted the 1994 profile for Poz magazine of handsome young interior decorator Ty, which ended with Sessums’ immortal prose: “Naked, our bodies find the ways they must fit.”
