The cast of “Downton Abbey” has been asked to shed some pounds.

ITV, the network that airs the popular series in the UK, is concerned by the weight some actors are putting on between filming, reports The Sun.

Rod James-Collier, who plays Thomas on the hit series, has called keeping weight off between shooting the “biggest challenge” of working on the British drama.

It’s not just the cast that find the snacks impossible to resist — creator Julian Fellowes seems to be struggling, too.

“The feeling is there’s not a better egg sandwich in England. But the cast have been asked to cut down on supplies so they can’t be tempted,” said the writer.

Viewers will find out if the network’s plan works when the show returns to the air for its fifth season in the UK later this year.
