Producer for Rihanna, Usher is an ingrate: lawsuit

A music producer to the stars — whose clients include Mary J. Blige, Rihanna and Usher — is hitting a sour note with the company that gave him his start.

RJR Entertainment Group says in a Manhattan lawsuit that they hired Ronald “Flip” Colson of New Jersey when he was a nobody in April 2010.

They gave the Burlington County resident a weekly stipend and access to their state-of-the-art recording studio, plus living expenses and housing, in exchange for a 25 percent cut on any projects he produced, according to court papers.

But when he started landing big deals including a contract with Sony BMG in 2012, he stopped talking to RJR, the suit says.

The New York-based company wants their cut of his work, plus the $240,000 they invested in him.

Colson did not return a message.
