Robin Williams’ remains were cremated the day after he committed suicide, according to a report Wednesday night.
TMZ, citing Williams’ “official death certificate,” said his ashes were scattered in San Francisco Bay.
He hanged himself in his Tiburon, Calif., home on Aug. 11.
The comedian and Oscar-winning actor was 63 years old and reportedly had been struggling with alcoholism and depression.
Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider, said after his death that he had been diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease but was not prepared to reveal it to the world.
But she claimed that although Williams was sick and battling depression, his “sobriety was intact.”
The coroner in Marin County was awaiting a toxicology test that was expected to reveal whether Williams had chemicals in his body at the time he killed himself, TMZ reported.
