Hukkster, the discount-sale notification site backed by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, has shut down.
The site, which lets users receive notifications when their favorite products go on sale, notified users via e-mail Monday that they’ve closed up shop.
A message on their website read, “Thank you for the opportunity to innovate and grow. Challenge yourself to change the status quo. Now it’s time for a nap.”
Founders Katie Finnegan and Erica Bell, former J.Crew employees, founded the site in 2012 with backing from the Winklevii.
Hukkster had 300,000 shoppers, the company said, and had gathered $4.5 million in funding. Neither Finnegan, Bell nor the Winklevii got back to us for comment.
