Pharrell Williams will return this summer as musical director of the Apollo in the Hamptons benefit at Ron Perelman’s estate The Creeks on Aug. 16.
Guests are still being lined up, but we hear Sting will play the gala, which has previously been rocked by Alicia Keys, Paul McCartney and Lenny Kravitz.
Williams last year got guests, including former Secretary of State Colin Powell, onstage dancing during an encore. The Roots will also return. Perelman’s the Apollo Theater’s vice chairman.
