Obama spotted again at Times Square hotel

Before going to the Democratic National Committee’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender leadership council dinner — what a mouthful! — and before hitting a smaller dinner at Anna Wintour’s house, President Obama was at the InterContinental Times Square for the second time in a month. He was meeting with Dan Tishman, who owns the hotel, and other Democratic donors.

The president chatted with Josie Merck, who is on the board of the National Resources Defense Council, and art collector Agnes Gund.

When Obama saw Merck’s husband, Jim Stevenson, a cartoonist for The New Yorker, he said he wanted whatever napkin Stevenson was sketching on during the meeting.

But Stevenson kept his doodles to himself.
