Gabby Karan De Felice opened the Tribeca outpost of her popular Tutto Il Giorno restaurant and admitted she has borrowed from her mother Donna Karan’s famous eye for detail.
“I used to steal my mother’s clothes, now I steal her fabrics and furniture,” Gabby said.
Gabby and Donna threw a party at the new Tribeca Tutto on Tuesday to celebrate music mogul-turned-home designer Sandy Gallin’s 74th birthday.
Hosting with Gallin’s new husband Bryan Fox, Donna joked, “Wait a minute. I was supposed to marry Sandy!”
Guests included Carole Bayer Sager, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mickey Drexler, Deborra-Lee Furness, Sandy Brant and Ingrid Sischy, Marci Klein and Larry Gagosian.
