The New Yorkers for Children Spring Dinner Dance kicked off the spring benefit season with a fashionable bang.
Actress Emma Roberts, in a pretty Chloé ensemble, mingled with models including Nina Agdal, Selita Ebanks, Arlenis Sosa and Crystal Renn, and fashion designers such as a pregnant Rebecca Minkoff, Bibhu Mohapatra, Alvin Valley and Lauren Khoo, whose jewelry was worn by many of the women at the Mandarin Oriental fete on Monday.
After a moving speech from Katia Steward, one of the many foster kids helped by the nonprofit, guests including Soledad O’Brien, Steven and Christine Schwarzman, Chelsea Leyland, Lydia Fenet, Eva Chen, Alina Cho, and Gillian and Sylvester Miniter danced the night away.
Wall Street queen Alexandra Lebenthal twirled her large gown across the dance floor, and co-host Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos jumped in the middle of a dance circle while DJ D-Nice spun a mix of old-school hip-hop and current hits.
The event raised more than $600,000 to help foster kids in the area.
