‘Today’ weekend co-anchor and guitar enthusiast Lester Holt was spotted jamming on a bass guitar while “dressed to the nines” at the GTR Showroom in Chelsea Friday morning.
Spies tell us he tried out a D’Angelico Fretless bass, which he later purchased (sells for about $2K), and was overheard telling the GTR staff he treats his NBC co-workers to impromptu jam sessions.
In 2011, Holt joked to NBC.
“I’m only doing the news because I can’t make it as a successful musician. In the meantime, I read the news. When my album gets done, I’m outta here.”
